Welcome to the Yan Tan Tethera Yarn Club Gallery 2018 Archive. This is where we seek to showcase all of the fantastic garments members of the club have made using their monthly yarn subscriptions.

November 2018

Jaki Bogg of Hot Butter Yarns created this wonderful mix called ‘Motorway Sunset’.

Trish Beesley knitted a lovely pair of socks with a contrasting heel using West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4 Ply in Blackcurrant Bomb. She went on to use the leftover yarn to make a tubular scarf, teamed with a ball of Rowan Super Fine Merino 4 Ply which accompanied November’s Yan Tan Tethera Yarn Box.

October 2018

Louise Lavender of The Cryptozoologist offered a vibrant, deep, rich and striking yarn for October. This is ‘Momiji’, Japanese meaning reddening of the leaves in Autumn.

‘Heather Rainbow’ by Katie Pearce of Sylvan Tiger Yarn is a mixture of wonderful earthy greens with pops of pinks and purples.

Elaine knitted a cushion – her own simple stocking stitch design knitted in the round and used the leftovers to make flowers with bamboo knitting needles for stalks.

‘Geranium’ by Elaine Jinks-Turner of Baa Baa Brighouse combines vibrant purples, flashes of pink of subtle greens.

‘Asters’ by Katie and Heather of Homespunwonders was dyed on a lovely base of Donegal Nep.

Elaine knitted a ‘Dunlochay Cushion Cover’ by Littletheorem, a pattern that is available for free on Ravelry. It is finished with a Harris Tweed applique sheep and blanket stitch edge.

June 2018

‘Dusk Lights’ by Jodi Rooke of Cuddlebums was inspired by the image, ‘Sunset Over Halifax’.

Elaine knitted a short sleeved top-down cardigan for her daughter, Florence.

May 2018

‘Meadow’ by Katie Pearce of Sylvan Tiger Yarn was inspired by you guessed it – a meadow!

Elaine knitted a cushion – her own simple stocking stitch design knitted in the round and used the remainder to make leaves for some knitted flowers.

April 2018

‘Purple Haze’ by Jaki Bogg of Hot Butter Yarns gives a lovely representation of spring crocuses.

Elaine knitted a cosy chunky cowl to her own improvised design and used the remainder to make a flower topper for a pin cushion.

March 2018

‘Rainbow Heart’ by Louise Lavender of The Cryptozoologist is not only a beautiful yarn but a celebration of the 14th LGBT History Month.

Elaine knitted a cushion cover and had enough yarn left to knit one side of another cushion cover.

February 2018

‘Reflections On Riding Wood Reservoir’ by Elaine Jinks-Turner of Baa Baa Brighouse offers a mix of bright blues and greens.
