Charity Yarn – In Memory Of Meg
In Memory Of Meg is the name of our new Charity Yarn in aid of The Border Collie Trust, a charity based in Staffordshire that rescues and rehomes Border Collies and Collie Crosses throughout the UK. If you follow Baa Baa Brighouse on our social media channels – Instagram, Threads and Mastodon – you may have read recently about the tragic loss of our sweet girl, Meg. We were lucky enough to offer Meg a loving home for nine years and we’d like to do a little something to show our appreciation for The Border Collie Trust for putting their faith in us all those years ago and entrusting Meg to our care. She enriched our lives so much and will forever be irreplaceable.
The yarn itself is a 100g skein of hand dyed Chunky Roving 100% Bluefaced Kerry Hill Wool. It combines splashes of pink, yellow, red, green and black against a background of creamy white and was inspired by a photograph taken of Meg in spring this year during a visit to the tulip fields at Farmer Copley’s Farm in Pontefract, West Yorkshire.
This is a limited edition yarn and £5 from every skein sold will be donated to The Border Collie Trust.
