Baa Baa Brighouse has decided that because, like most, we feel unable to influence social, political or economic change in any significant way, it can instead take care of its own very small corner of the world.
In 2019, we will be releasing a monthly limited edition hand dyed charity yarn where £3 of every skein sold will go to a chosen charity (this too will change on a month by month basis to enable us to help more deserving causes).
Our chosen charity for November is the Royal British Legion. The launch of our limited edition yarn, ‘Lest We Forget’, coincides with the charity’s annual Poppy Appeal and Armistice Day on November 11th when we remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The yarn base used is Baa Baa Brew Marble 4 Ply consisting of 75% British Bluefaced Leicester and 25% Masham, giving approximately 400m per 100g skein. it combines muted shades of red and black inspired by the poppy. It is available exclusively from Baa Baa Brighouse and can be purchased throughout the month of November.
